One of six local breaks in the Hermanus area. bay View breaks over a very deep rock shelf. Only really starts working at 8 ft and up. Biggest I've surfed it was at about 12 ft, Awesome take off, fairly mellow, but hollows out as it jacks over the reef... barrels to fit busses in bro! As in this photie, no crouds! Can be slightly hazardous getting in and out. This was taken just after the massive system that punished the SA coastline in August this year. Some of the largest swell we've seen in 50 years, this clean 8 - 10 ft swell held its supply for two weeks after the gargantuan system had passed through.
