Hi to all, I'm Alvaro, a Venezuelan living in beautiful Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica, a surf instructor, and the manager of Tidal Wave Surf Academy. My surf school offers a variety of services and packages, from single surf lessons to surf lesson packages and group lessons. My journey with surfing started in Venezuela, 16 years ago, on a beach called Chirimena, and I surfed almost all of Venezuela's central coast. Four years ago, I arrived in Tamarindo, fell in love with this beach town, and started to provide surf lessons. I am an ISA-certified surf instructor, and I have vast experience teaching children and adults to surf. Surfing has given me balance, calm, and a sense of meaning, and I enjoy transmitting the passion of surfing by teaching people the sport that has given me so much. I am excited about sharing my knowledge and experience with you and helping you get the most out of your surfing experience. I believe that the ocean is a source of peace and relaxation for people of all ages. By teaching my students the fundamentals of surfing, I hope to inspire them to find balance and calm in their own lives.
