The Lifeguards and City Of San Diego have granted the Revolt Summer Surf Series 6.0 a permit to hold the fourth event on the SOUTH SIDE OF CRYSTAL PIER - October 6. There has never been a surf contest allowed there before. The 'Swim Only' Zone has been in effect 24/7 - 365/days-a-year... for decades. The only way to surf that peak south of the Pier without getting yelled at (or receiving a citation) is to compete in the RSSS 6.0 FINAL EVENT on October 6. This positions the entire event in front of the the P
acific BeachFest. Beachfest is the annual end of summer festival along the Boardwalk and outlying streets with hundreds of vendors, live music stages (Featuring bands like BOOMSNAP & SPLITFINGER) Half pipe Skate comp and a beer garden. The event attracts between 50-75,000 people. To make the day even more exciting the RSSS has added a Master's Division (30+) on October 6 to allow San Diego's esteemed riders an opportunity to surf the peak.
