Mine was Blacks Beach and I got my butt handed to me.
It was at least 20 feet and the lip was throwing out just as far. A total oval shaped barrel. I got deep but never got out.

I personally don't like surfing big waves all that much. Give me shoulder high to 2 feet overhead and I'm in heaven.
My biggest waves were at Taco Surf in Baja. About 20 feet and perfect form with strong offshore winds, but I felt uncomfortable. The bigger waves also give you a short time on the wave but at the same time take you farrr making for a whole lot of paddling.
